Title: 4/5 “Is This What They Call “Love?”" It’s a good title that tells people what to expect in the story without giving away TOO much of the plot. It could have been a bit more creative, but so far as titles go, it was attention grabbing and made me want to read more.
Poster/Background: 7/10 The poster was nice; it was in black and white, which had a nice effect, as well as you had the real girls pictures up, instead of lookalikes, which is cool! I would have liked to see a background though, since you didn’t have one.
Forewords: 8/10 It was nice to have the little teaser, as well as the character synopsis so that we got to know the characters before the story actually really started. It would have been nice if the teaser was a bit longer, but overall it was very engaging andinteresting!
Plot: 14/15 What random questions to get a scholarship!! It was very engaging and humorous. I enjoyed reading it. The writing is really amusing sometimes; ch. 4 [especially Yuya's POV] was really quite funny, as well as when Manisha shoots down every single one of Seung Hyun’s pick up lines with a witty rebuttal (ch. 8). You were very creative with ideas on how to get all the couples together.
Creativity/Originality: 10/10 Very creative, you had a lot of ideas on how to keep everyone engaged in the story. The ending twist with Yura ending up with JiYong was entirely unanticipated. Manisha’s pregnancy was also not something that I expected the story to address, though it does fit well with the title. And Manisha’s death! There was a little foreshadowing, but I didn’t expect her to actually die! Good job!
Flow: 5/10 It gets a little choppy towards the end, because it skips months. It seems a bit rushed.
Spelling/Grammar/Vocabulary: 9/10 There were a few grammar and spelling mistakes, but overall it was very good.
Characterization: 10/10 Each character is really distinct, with their own personalities, which is really good. I enjoyed Yura’s pretend self-confidence, Haley’s adorableness, and Manisha’s snappy comebacks. I also was a HUGE fan of Yuya, Yura’s *overprotective* older brother. I really enjoyed all the characters in this. I thought the characters were really sweet to rally around Manisha in her time of need.
Writing Style: 7/10 There is a lot of dialogue with not much description. Although this is acceptable at parts, like when something is happening at a very fast pace, I would have liked to see more description of the characters, area around them, and actions. After all, actions can tell a lot of a character’s true intentions / inner thoughts so you wouldn’t have to spell it out to the reader, and description adds a lot to a story. However, it is really easy to read and relate to. In particular, the segmenting between characters in chapter nine effectively showed what was going on with each couple. And there’s foreshadowing for the ending!! Great job with the foreshadowing of Manisha being reborn!
Overall Enjoyment: 5/5 The unique characters made the story really amusing and fun to read.
Bonus: 5/5 The ending was absolutely wonderful. We get to know what happens to all the characters, and Manisha is reborn as JiYong’s daughter in California. All the loose knots are tied up. You did a good job with this story!
Total: 84/100
Great job with your story!
